Jakarta, June 20, 2025 – PT Datang DSSP Power Indonesia (DDPI), a strategic collaboration between China Datang Corp and Sinarmas Energy in the electricity sector, has for the first time participated in a prestigious Asia-level awards event and successfully secured two accolades: the HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2025 and the Tech Empowerment Award 2025. This recognition underscores DDPI's commitment to fostering a positive and collaborative work environment that supports continuous employee development, encompassing both the strengthening of local human resources and the enhancement of cross-cultural synergy.
HR Asia Award: Commitment to Technology & People DevelopmentThe Tech Empowerment Award 2025 acknowledges DDPI's dedication to leveraging technology for human resource development. Lokita Prasetya, Vice President Director of DDPI, officially accepted this award at the ceremony held at the Ritz-Carlton Jakarta. As the pinnacle of the awards, Yang Kai, President Director of DDPI, received the HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2025. This award highlights the company's success in aligning its technology strategy with an integrated Human Resources Management system, including talent management, training and development (such as simulation-based training for operators and engineers), and integrated performance management. DDPI believes that technological transformation must advance in parallel with strengthening human capacity, which is central to successful power plant operations
Strengthening Local Human Resources and Fostering an Inclusive CultureMohamad Ramdan, HR Head of DDPI, stated that through flagship programs like the Engineering Development Program (EDP) and Electricity Generator Personnel Education (PTPL), designed in collaboration with local educational institutions such as Universitas Sriwijaya, Institut Teknologi PLN, Institut Teknologi Kalimantan, and Universitas Halu Oleo, DDPI has trained over 420 local technical talents. This initiative has also produced 84 engineers and 40 core technical personnel. These efforts have led to the absorption of more than 1,500 local workers, with 95% of DDPI's total employees being Indonesian. DDPI also implements a "four-in-one mechanism," which includes campus-industry collaboration, an employee growth system, evaluation and incentives, and a focus on Employee Engagement. This strategy cultivates a work environment that supports sustainable career growth and employee loyalty.
China-Indonesian Cultural Synergy: “Build Together, Win Together, Share Each Other”Leveraging the momentum of 75 years of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and China, DDPI organized various cross-cultural activities under the theme "Friendship Bridge." These events ranged from joint celebrations of Eid al-Fitr and the Dragon Boat Festival to Chinese movie screenings and cartoon-based work safety competitions. These initiatives strengthen harmony and collaboration among employees from different cultures.
Social Contributions and Tangible Community ImpactDDPI implements various social responsibility programs, including Support for Small and Micro Economy, Ecological Greenhouse, STEAM Education, and the provision of clean water. More than 40 local talents now hold middle and senior management positions, and 200 employees have been absorbed by other companies through talent spillover, strengthening Indonesia's energy sector workforce ecosystem.
Opening a New Chapter of Indonesia-China Cooperation Through TalentThese two awards serve as testament to DDPI's success in integrating the principles of "talent localization, management internationalization, and responsibility localization". Moving forward, DDPI is committed to introducing new initiatives that promote green transformation, accelerate technology adoption, and create broader growth opportunities for all employees — both in Indonesia and within the scope of bilateral China-Indonesia cooperation.
