At the 2025 “TOP CSR AWARDS” ceremony held in Jakarta, Indonesia, China Datang’s Indonesia Regional Company celebrated a series of major achievements: DDPI received the prestigious Five-Star Corporate Social Responsibility Award; Datang Meulaboh, DDPI Sumsel, DDPI Kendari, and DDPI Kalteng power companies each won the Four-Star Award. As the Chinese energy enterprise with the most awards and the widest regional coverage at this year’s event, Datang has fully demonstrated its strong local integration and shared responsibility in Indonesia.
In 2025, Datang Indonesia Regional Company seized the opportunities presented by the Belt and Road Initiative and the building of a China-Indonesia community with a shared future. Rooted Locally, Advancing Green Development Hand in Hand with Community Well-being
For two consecutive years, Datang Indonesia Regional Company has been honored with Indonesia’s Five-Star CSR Award, consistently driving local integration through green development. In terms of ecological protection, the company has systematically advanced a three-pronged ecological restoration model—coastal mangrove planting, marine coral reef rehabilitation, and economic forest cultivation. To date, over 30,000 mangroves have been planted and more than 1,400 coral pieces transplanted, establishing a benchmark for tropical ecosystem restoration. The four power plants have implemented location-specific public welfare initiatives, jointly building a comprehensive responsibility network that spans education, environmental protection, healthcare, and economic development.
Datang Meulaboh Company, as the largest power generation enterprise in Aceh, North Sumatra Province, has focused on its core responsibility of ensuring a stable energy supply while actively advancing school-enterprise partnerships, cultural support initiatives, and holiday outreach programs. In response to sudden natural disasters, the company promptly organized material donations and emergency assistance, demonstrating corporate compassion and earning high recognition from local governments and communities.
DDPI Sumsel Power Plant has taken significant steps in promoting its "Micro and Small Business Support" program, helping over 10 local specialty products—including banana chips and ginger tea—achieve brand development and market access, thereby generating over 120 employment opportunities. DDPI Kendari Power Plant has launched an “Eco-Greenhouse” project to promote sustainable agricultural practices, working in collaboration with universities to implement targeted talent development. Meanwhile, DDPI Kalteng Power Plant has fully rolled out a STEAM education program, benefiting students and teachers across multiple schools, and further supporting educational advancement in the region.

Integrated Management, Building a New Model of China-Indonesia Cooperation
Beyond fulfilling its responsibilities, Datang Indonesia Regional Company continues to promote deep integration of Chinese and Indonesian cultures and management practices. Against the backdrop of the 75th anniversary of China-Indonesia diplomatic relations, the company organized the "Bridge of Friendship" cultural exchange series, where Chinese and Indonesian employees celebrated festivals together and shared achievements—fostering closer bonds and mutual understanding. On the management front, the company led the synchronized grid connection of photovoltaic (PV) projects across its four power plants in Indonesia for the first time, bringing the power of “light” to support the region’s green transformation.
To address the industry challenge of attracting and retaining talent, the company has established a four-pronged mechanism encompassing school-enterprise collaboration, career development systems, performance-based incentives, and emotional support. Through this model, over 420 local Indonesian technical professionals have been trained, creating approximately 1,500 job opportunities. More than ten employees have been recognized with advanced honors from Datang Group and China Datang Overseas Investment. These efforts have significantly enhanced the sense of belonging and identity among local employees, laying a solid foundation for stable, localized operations.
