Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) under Law Number 20 of 2008 are productive businesses owned by individuals and or individual business entities that meet the criteria for micro, small and medium enterprises as stipulated in the Law. The role of MSMEs for economic development in Indonesia is central in providing jobs and producing an output.
As in line with Government's program to encourage the development of MSMEs in Indonesia, the Company is more focused on relevant programs to enhance MSME development. The Company takes part in expanding jobs opportunities for wider communities by playing an active role in this field.

Bumdesmart at PLTU Kalteng-1
PLTU Kalteng-1 made a cooperation with Local BUMDES in establishing Bumdesmart “Rungan Maju Bersama” which is located in our site area. We support this small business by providing the building, electricity and water for free. Purpose of this Bumdesmart is to provide a small grocery store for our employees at the same time to boost the local economic activity.
Short Training for MSME Entrepreneurs
PLTU Sumsel-5 provided a training on Orderly Administration and General Accounting to 8 MSME Entrepreneurs in December 2022. With this knowledge, it is expected that these entrepreneurs will be able to manage and develop their businesses independently.
Catfish Cultivation in Trans SP 1 Village, Tumbang Kajuei
PLTU Kalteng-1 provided catfish starters and fish feed to local cultivators to be developed into larger aquaculture and become a potential source of income for them in a long term.
MSME Licensing for Tofu and Tempeh Producers
In May 2022, PLTU Sumsel-5 had successfully helped some producers of tofu and tempeh in gaining their MSME Licensing from Dinas Penanaman Modal Satu Pintu dan Perijinan Kabupaten Musi Banyuasin.
Licensing Seminar for MSMEs
PLTU Kendari-3 once invited Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal (PTSP BKPM) Konawe Selatan to provide information regarding license and permit for 6 MSME-scale companies.
Support for Local Farmers and Fish Cultivators
PLTU Kalteng-1 provided a small capital to local farmers and fish cultivators in Trans SP 1 Village, Tumbang Kajuei for them to be able to develop their agricultural/livestock products and regularly giving some inputs on how to market their product more effectively.
